Abstract

This is a report and examination of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of a program to train new trainers in a corporate setting. Instructional materials were developed, such as a selfinstructional student manual, media, a post test activity, and other printed materials. These materials were delivered during the program for new trainers who are hired to work in the Banking and International Sector (BIS) training department at Manufacture Hanover Trust in New York City. Learning was measured through the use of an entry skills test, several exercises, and a post test activity. This training program was delivered twice - to a small group and field trial. Both trials were successful, each surpassing the program's set criterion.
Recommendations for this project include extension in duration from a two half-day program of eight hours to a two day program of fourteen hours. Inclusion of two videotaped presentations sessions for participants is also recommended. Marketing this project to other departments has been suggested.
