Abstract

The generation, recover~ and use of landfill gas, may be the basis of a new type of energy industry in the United States. This paper investigates and reviews the critical aspects of landfill gas recovery and utilization, as well as the impending problem of water pollution by leachate migration. Landfill gas recovery techniques and design aspects are examined for economic and technological feasibility.
