Abstract

In the past century, fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas have caused serious health problems for the United States of America. It has spread toxic air pollutants and ashes, that covered most buildings, rivers, and agricultural farm lands. Presently, fuel cell research and development is the best available control technology being carried out to reduce power plant smoke emissions. This new technology releases zero emission, air pollutants; moreover, it runs on a renewable energy like hydrogen or methane. When combined together they release water vapor through chemical reaction inside each fuel cell. In the transportation sector, fuel cells provide power for heavy duty trucks, light duty pickups, buses, and cars.
Fuel cells are also capable of powering residential heating systems; for the utility power plant mdustry, fuel cells are used to control smoke stacks-emi-sswns,ancl---------- help monitor air pollution. Moreover, fuel cells on today's market are expensive to manufactured as one disadvantage. Because of design, size, work related, operating efficiency, and temperature rating. While the good news about fuel cells, it uses renewable energy like Methane Hydrogen and Oxygen, Gasoline, or Ethanol. Fuel cells can also be used to power hospitals, computers, police stations, and was once part of NASA Space Program, which provided water for all astronauts, etc. As for the most common types of fuel cells used they are: alkali, Molten Carbon, Phosphoric Acid, and Solid Oxide. In addition, this fuel cell report will cover Laws & Regulation, Economics, Future Trends, Government Programs and Incentives.
Lastly, the summary report will cover future markets, trends, benefits, and other reasons why fuel cells is America's best choice on how to control air pollution, greenhouse gases, and acid rain.
